How this works

The idea

Lots of fighters and ex-fighters run YouTube shows where they pick the weekend's fights. They're treated as experts. Nobody was keeping score. This site does.

Where the picks come from

  1. We take the automatic captions from each fight-week episode.
  2. Every stated pick is written down: who they picked, and how they said the fight ends if they said it. We keep the exact quote and the timestamp.
  3. Hedged picks ("I'd bet on X but I'm picking Y") are graded on the pick and marked. Jokes and coin-flips are marked as low confidence. When a host picks himself, we say so.

Captions are not perfect. Names get mangled and sometimes a pick is ambiguous. That is why every pick on this site has a “Verify” button that opens the video at that exact moment. If we got one wrong, the receipt is right there.

How picks are scored

  • Hit rate is simply how often the fighter they picked won. Fights that ended in a no contest don't count.
  • $100-a-pick result imagines betting $100 on every pick at the odds bookmakers offered right before the fight, then adds up the wins and losses. Odds are the middle value across the main US sportsbooks.
  • Picked the favourite matters because anyone can hit 70% by always picking the favourite. We show what that lazy strategy would have scored on the same fights, so you can see whether a caller adds anything.
  • Small sample is flagged under 15 graded picks. A lucky weekend can swing those numbers a lot.

Not betting advice

This is a scoreboard, not a tipping service. Nothing here is a recommendation to bet. If you do bet, you must be of legal age where you live, and you should expect to lose money. If gambling is a problem for you or someone you know, contact your local support line.
